Whether you have just dove into your job search or you have been wading through the waters for a while, you have probably realized that there are a lot of tools and resources that you can use to (hopefully) speed up the process.
But, how can you figure out what is the best option for you? At Pathrise, we work with fellows 1-on-1 on all aspects of their job search. We have helped over 1,000 people find great jobs in the past 2 years, so we know what works and what doesn’t. Fellows in our program often utilize these recruiting websites, along with personalized guidance from our mentors, to help get a great job.
With these programs, typically, candidates need to first apply to join the platform. If they are accepted, they make a profile with their resume information. Companies who are actively hiring look through the resumes on the platform and apply directly to those candidates. This process saves time and often allows applicants to move more quickly through the hiring funnel.
We outlined 3 talent-matching platforms and recruiting websites with information on candidates that find success. In addition, keep reading to learn how to join the platform and companies that recruit from each so you can decide which is a good fit for you.
1. Triplebyte
Who finds the most success on Triplebyte?
Triplebyte is a talent-matching platform for software engineers who have a lot of experience. If you get accepted into the program, Triplebyte finds companies that fit your interests. If you like the company, you skip straight to the onsite interview. A lot of our software engineering Pathrise fellows have found success using Triplebyte alongside our program.
How do you join Triplebyte?
The process starts with an online quiz. If the candidate passes the quiz, they are invited to a Google Hangouts interview. This session includes coding questions and challenges. If they successfully pass that technical screen, they are invited to an onsite or virtual 2 hour final round interview. This session includes behavioral and technical questions. This process is extremely rigorous because companies use Triplebyte’s application and interview as their own and move candidates from the platform straight onsite.
Which companies recruit from Triplebyte?
There are hundreds of tech companies on Triplebyte, including Adobe, Uber, Robinhood, Instacart, and more.
2. Hired
Who finds the most success on Hired?
Like Triplebyte, Hired is a talent-matching platform that has created a marketplace of companies looking to hire for any of the following roles in tech: software engineering, design, data, DevOps, QA, project management, and product management. They use machine learning algorithms to match your skills and interests to companies that are currently hiring. Candidates receive interview requests from companies and decide whether or not they’d like to go through the process.
How do you join Hired?
They also require an application and interview, though it is not as difficult as Triplebyte. Hired, like Triplebyte, is free for candidates. Candidates start by creating a profile and adding all of their information, including skills, past projects, experience, passions, and career aspirations. The algorithm then determines company matches.
Which companies recruit from Hired?
There are over 10k companies hiring on Hired, including Dropbox, Wayfair, Udacity, Shopify, and more.
3. Seen by Indeed
Who finds the most success on Seen by Indeed?
Formerly known as Indeed Prime, Seen by Indeed is a talent-matching platform. It is part of the larger Indeed network, but only focused on tech roles. As of right now, the platform only helps people who are looking for technical roles in tech, usually under the umbrellas of software engineering, data science, product management, UX/UI, IT, network, and project management.
How do you join Seen by Indeed?
Candidates who are interested in joining the platform must make an account and answer questions about their background, the roles they are interested in, and additional demographics. After candidates input their information and the times they are available for interviews, companies “apply to them”. Seen by Indeed is free for candidates as well.
Which companies recruit from Seen by Indeed?
There are over 4000 jobs on Seen by Indeed, from companies like eBay, GrubHub, Twilio, PayPal, and more.
These talent-matching platforms can help speed up your job search and save you time by finding roles that fit your experience and goals.
